Ek Soch Sandbox Flyer Ek soch FellowshipThe Ek Soch Fellowship on Social Entrepreneurship is a rigorous 6 months residential program aiming to create strong leaders able to work at the level where it has the greatest impact: the execution level of the social development sector. Using inventive, experiential learning methods such as immediate hands-on application of classroom learnt skills and regular interactions with renowned social workers and guest speakers, fellowship allows recent graduates to reach their full professional potential. Through NGO visits, village studies, entrepreneurial and leadership activities, and intensive coursework, fellows imbibe the essential skills needed to become true leaders in their chosen fields.

Graduating fellows have access to exclusive job fairs, office space, job networks, mentorship and more. With an emphasis on social entrepreneurship and innovation, the Ek Soch Fellowship aims to transform the fellows into entrepreneurial young leaders.

Fellowship Activities:


Leadership Activities:

Leadership Activities help fellows build relationships with local communities and build their leadership skills. Fellows go into local communities in small teams to identify problems and work with the communities to develop and implement solutions.


Incubation Support:

Incubation support will boost up the real time experience of working with the early startups and successful ventures from diverse field. Fellows will have opportunity to access the facilities and resources at Sandbox Startups and to enhance their entrepreneurial spirit.


Entrepreneurship Activities:

Entrepreneurial activities help fellows to build their entrepreneurial skills. Fellows work together to undertake a revenue-generating activity. Through this process, fellows learn to evaluate market demand, anticipate potential problems, take risks, and develop creative solutions to overcome challenges.


NGO Exposure:

NGO visits provide fellows with real insight into how NGOs function. By seeing NGOs and meeting NGO leaders, fellows learn practical issues they need to think about in launching their own enterprises. Fellows visit around 50 NGOs that work in livelihoods, education, health, microfinance, agriculture and environment.

Village Study:

Village studies help fellows gain experience in rural areas, as the rural context is critical for developing a thorough understanding of development work. Fellows travel in small groups to remote villages to understand village life from local perspectives. These visits are not only highly enjoyable learning experiences for the fellows, but also give them the opportunity to conduct research studies, where fellows can practice methods of quantifying and presenting data.



Classroom Activities:

Classroom activities are an indispensable part of any training program. Modules are introduced through many interactive methods and presentations. Activities, assignments, team work, feedback and assessments ensure complete understanding of topics.
